The post holder will have operational management responsibility for Crisis and Home treatment Teams and will ensure the provision of high-quality clinical services supporting individuals presenting in crisis with mental health conditions who require, triage assessment or intensive support as an alternative to hospital admission. The post holder will ensure the coordination and development of the Team implementing and maintaining services within a defined resource and work collaboratively with external partners to ensure that mental and physical health needs are supported with parity and to ensure the service operates in a safe, effective and efficient way as part of the wider health and social care system. The crisis and home treatment teams offer a comprehensive range of mental health specialities within one multi-disciplinary team so that all patients over the age of 18 years with a suspected or actual mental health problem presenting in crisis in the community can be triaged, referred, assessed and treated appropriately regardless of age, presenting complaint, time of presentation or severity of condition. The services put an emphasis on early intervention and supports early but effective discharge from the acute hospital site. The services operate over 7 days per week including bank holiday periods. Crisis operates 24 hrs a day and Home treatment 08.00 – 21.30 daily. The post holder will be required to provide clear visible operational and clinical leadership, uphold, and monitor the clinical standards of the service. Provide managerial supervision to the team and to support the service manager with the core 24 delivery of the service Applicants should have extensive experience of working at Band 6 or above. You will have effective communication skills and be able to represent the service in meetings, writing reports, responding to complaints and interface with colleagues from a range of multi-disciplinary backgrounds. A car driver is essential as you maybe required to work across different bases and support across the portfolio as required.
